Project Overview

The VSM-4 Plugin was developed to capture Vertigo Sound’s signature sound while staying true to the analog hardware that inspired it. The goal was to preserve the warmth, texture, and tonal qualities of the original hardware while making it accessible in a digital format.

Key decisions—such as the plugin’s name, visual design, and user experience—were made collaboratively with developers and stakeholders. The interface was designed to feel intuitive and reflect the brand’s identity while ensuring it remained true to the analog roots.  

An essential part of the process was figuring out how to translate the effects of the original hardware into a digital environment, keeping the analog feel intact while taking advantage of the control and flexibility that software offers.
